Paul Todd
Personal Coach
I’m passionate about creating a programme that incorporates you’re lifestyle , serves you well and meets your desired level of performance as you age. Having spent 18 years working with some of the best practitioners around Australasia, I’ve created an individualised approach to coaching clients through the challenges that come with wanting to be the best version of yourself or working back to a level of health and fitness that you can get excited about.
My mission statement: To empower my clients through movement to do the things they love to do.
Business values:
An individual approach: With tonnes of available information understanding where your time is best spent is important.
Long-term focus: I believe you should be training in away that will work for you in the longterm.
Quality movement: Learning to move well is the foundation for longterm health keep moving stay strong stay independent.
Educate to empower: I teach as we go, when you understand your body and mind you’ll be able to explore its potential.
Connection: A big part of any health journey is connection, feel part of something and connect with like minded individuals.
- Tired of feeling tired
- Sick of being sore
- Frustrated at being frustrated with false starts
- Lots of ideas but unsure of what to do or where to start.
We can cut through the confusion and create a plan that is focused on you.
Areas of interest:
Corrective exercise:
You’re sore knee, back, foot , shoulder dosent need to hold you back and using age as an excuse just doesn't need to be the case. We work out what’s driving your discomfort and undo longterm compensation patterns that are developed over years of loading a body that’s been compensating.
You’re sore knee, back, foot , shoulder dosent need to hold you back and using age as an excuse just dosent need to be the case. We work out what’s driving your discomfort and undo longterm compensation patterns that are developed over years of loading a body that’s been compensating.
We work out the strength imbalance and weakness and create a plan to get you back to performing at the level you desire. Ultimately allowing you to do the things you enjoy.
Youth conditioning:
Setting up younger athletes with good foundations for which to build on as they develop there training and compete to the best of there abilities. In an instant gratification world, knowing where to spend your time and energy when training enhances motivation and performance.
Avoid developing poor loading and moving habits by working out and understanding your body right from the beginning.
We create a routine that’s going to develop a good longterm athlete and avoid short cutting for quick results. Each sport is different and each athlete is different so a different (unique) approach is advantageous. I have an education based approach teaching as we go and passing on the key skills and understanding that will work for you going forward.
Bringing your brain into play:
To often exercise doesn't stimulate the brain, either through the way we exercise the body or by the lack of continuity between what we are doing and how it could be helping reduce our exposure to brain based diseases.
We programme in a way that asks your brain to be heightened and you’re mind engaged in what you are doing.
Brain health is an area we are inspired by and feel it’s relationship with exercise can be better understood. Exercise is proven to help reduce the risk of brain based diseases that fall under the dementia umbrella. We encourage you to take a proactive approach to reducing your risk.
